The HollyShorts Film Festival is one of the leaders in the short film industry, bringing incredible entries from around the world center stage, including some of the biggest names in Hollywood looking to get some of their ideas out there. For sixteen years the festival has brought swaths of incredible films under one roof, and for the first time, the festival has announced their very own short list of films to look out for, many of which were hits at the virtual 2020 HollyShorts film festival that took place late last year.
For the filmmakers, making this list is an honor all its own, especially considering the company that they will join. Many films that were featured at HollyShorts have gone on to do great things; awards nominations, the chance to bring their ideas to the big screen as feature length films, and an opportunity to show their skills in order to do more in the industry.
These thirty films are some of the most well-regarded in the medium, and features some well-known creators in the film and television industry, and being on the first-ever Hot List is a wonderful addition to the acclaim these filmmakers have already received for their incredible work. This list also includes HollyShorts 2020 winner Emil Gallardo for his film 123 All Eyes On Me.
