Auditorium - "Cedars-Sinai Cafeteria Breakdown" (Lyric Video) - YouTube

Were there any challenges in making this project?

This is a lyric video for a track off of the Auditorium album Life Changer. I designed the album cover and single art for the album, the artwork consisting of childhood photos enhanced by simple white drawings. The lyric video, based on this artwork, was my first 100% solo work. No shoot, no DP, no crew, no anyone else. It took some adjusting.

Is there any type of message or emotion that you hope the viewer takes away from watching this film?

The song was written by Spencer Berger (aka Auditorium) during a crisis in his life, and I wanted to underscore that feeling in all its forms with the video. Hopefully that comes through.

How does it feel to be able to screen the film at HollyShorts?

HollyShorts has supported me throughout my career. I just feel grateful.

What inspired you to start making films?

Watching Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me during a major thunderstorm in high school.

What’s on the horizon for you?

I direct and edit for a living, so a little from column A and a little from column B.
