8th Annual Hollywood Comedy Shorts Festival Returns With Brand New Lineup!

For the last several years, the Hollywood Comedy Shorts Festival has given the world some of the best short films, with a focus on those that bring the laughs. Comedy can be blended with nearly any genre, and that will be on full display during this year’s festival, with several themed blocks that focus on films from the next generation of filmmakers, all set to make you laugh, gasp, cringe and so much more. Horror, Dark Comedies, Web Series and more will all be available during the festival, which will be held at the LOOK! Dine-In Cinemas in Glendale on May 4th and 5th, with the filmmakers celebration taking place on May 3rd to kick off the festivities.

There will be dozens of films shown during these two days, with 91 films set to screen. Several films were highlighted during a recent press release, and they include:

Stop Whining & Start Winning directed by Emma Raimi, daughter of Sam Raimi; They Grow Up So Fast, a 2023 HollyShorts Film Festival official selection, directed by John F. Beach; Vasectomy, starring and directed by King Bach; Moon Blood, directed by Mark A. Burley, director/producer known for GLOW (2017), Orange Is The New Black (2013), Weeds (2005), and Murder, She Wrote (1984); Superdead directed by Brian Jarvis, known for Ricky Stanicky (2024) and Loudermilk (2017); Catherine & Michael directed by Kathy Fusco, Emmy-nominated director and former writer/director for Comedy Central; and The Moms directed by Katie Goodman, a 2023 HCSFF alum.

Tickets and the schedule of films can be found here, with tickets available to purchase now via that same website. For those who are unable to attend, the films will also be available virtually via BitPix.

We’re looking forward to seeing those who can attend during the screening weekend, and for those who can’t, we hope you enjoy the films virtually! A big thanks to the filmmakers for their submissions, for LOOK!
